Movie Pastime: I Love You, Man Review

originally posted on 26 August 2009, Wednesday

Janne (my boyfriend) and I have without any doubt enjoyed dinner last night while watching a romantic comedy film in the comfort of our own living room. I love You, Man starred by Paul Rudd (I always remember him as Mike Hannigan, Phoebe's husband in "Friends"), Jason Segel (I first came across Jason as the funny lawyer, Marshall Eriksen who is married to Alyson Hannigan in the comedy series "How I Met Your Mother") and Rashida Jones (who is Karen Filippelli and has been one of Michael's love interests in the comedy series "The Office) hasn't been a waste of time to watch.

Anyway, the movie has been able to make Janne and I laugh and giggle. In short, we love the film and we highly recommend it to those who look forward to watching a romantic comedy which can both tickle them and make them fall in love over and over again.

As of today (26 August 2009), I love You, Man has already garnered a user rating of 7.5/10 (with 24,394 votes cast) at IMDB and has also been recommended by others who have seen it.

Plot summary for I Love You, Man (quoted from IMDB.com):

"Peter Klaven's (Paul Rudd) world revolves around his real estate work and Zooey (Rashida Jones), his soon-to-be fiancée. After he pops the question, she calls her best friends and they go into wedding planning mode. Peter has no male friends and that poses problems: will he turn out to be a clingy guy, and who will be his best man? Zooey, her friends, and Peter's brother Robbie offer help that results in awkward moments. Then, at an open house Peter's hosting, he meets Sydney (Jason Segel), an amiable, low-key guy. They trade business cards, and Peter calls him to meet for drinks. A friendship develops that's great at first but then threatens Peter's engagement and career. Can guys be friends and couples be in love?"

For film lovers like us, never miss this one lovely hilarious film!
