When my boyfriend purchased the first The Boondock Saints film on dvd a year ago, I told myself that I wouldn't enjoy watching it. Unfortunately, I did. Since it was released sometime in 1999, my boyfriend and I never expected for this movie's sequel. The Boondock Saints II (Subtitle: All Saints Day) was released in cinemas in the US on the 13th of November 2009, almost exactly ten years after the first one (released on November 19, 1999 in Denmark) and had already reached a 6.7/10 rating from the 10,767 votes casted as of today.
A short summary of The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (quoted from IMDB.com):
"The MacManus brothers (Conner and Murphy) are living a quiet life in Ireland with their father (Poppa), but when they learn their beloved priest has been killed by mob forces, the duo return to Boston to bring justice to those responsible."
The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day Trailer:
The Boondock Saints II which stars Sean Patrick Flanery (Conner), Norman Reedus (Murphy), Billy Connolly (Poppa), Clifton Collins Jr. (Romeo) and Julie Benz (Eunice) is a must-watch! The funny lines are really funny and the action parts are really well delivered. There's nothing negative I can say about this film. It's totally entertaining that I've ended up wanting to see some more. It's a good feeling to know (at least I believe so --- this isn't confirmed yet) that a third The Boondock Saints film will be in the making one day for MacManus brothers fans like me and my boyfriend.
It's a strong two thumbs up for me for The Boondock Saints II!
