My boyfriend and I have finally gotten the chance to watch Iron Man 2 on the big screen yesterday evening. It was cool night with a huge box of popcorn, a tall glass of soda, Iron Man 2 and of course, my boyfriend on my side. Woo hoo!
My friends have been asking me, "Is Iron Man 2 better than the first one or is it the other way around?" My opinion is... both Iron Man 1 and 2 are great films and I can not pin point which one is better. The first Iron Man film is breathtaking while the second is totally fascinating. I like how these two films are stitched to each other yet, each of them is a complete film on their own.
However, I do have some tiny wishes that could have made Iron Man 2 a little better..... My first wish is that Scarlett Johansson and Mickey Rourke could have been given more exposure in this film. These two have played their characters really well. My second wish is that Terrence Howard still plays Jim Rhodes, Iron Man's partner. Although [let me stress this out...] I have nothing against Don Cheadle, I still wish that the "Rhodes" in the first film is still the same actor in the second one. In fairness sake, Cheadle has played the role great. [Cheers to you, Don! At least you've been able to wear the Iron Man silver suit! I know Terrence envies you!]
Robert Downey Jr.'s explosive charisma has never failed to impress me and boyfriend. We really love Downey Jr. and his character as Iron Man *wink wink*. We can't wait to see him again in Iron Man 3 [scheduled to hit the cinemas in 2012, right after Avengers] and in Avengers [he will be playing the role of... who else... Iron Man!] which is expected to be in theaters during the 4th of May 2012.
Warning!!!.... if ever you are going to see Iron Man 2, please please please... watch this film to the very end. There's a surprise waiting for you after the credits have been shown. If you've already seen the film but have missed the surprise in the end, find a way to watch it! I promise, it's worth it!
Watch Iron Man 2! You'll surely enjoy it from start to finish!
