It has been two weeks since the last time I've updated this blog. Whew!"It was the perfect crime. But they picked ... the wrong victim."
A month ago, we watched The Disappearance of Alice Creed
which was released in Canada and the UK during the last quarter of 2009. We never knew that such a film existed until my boyfriend's best friend told him about the it. According to him, the movie wasn't a waste of 90 minutes. So intrigued and curious, we gave it a shot.
The Disappearance of Alice Creed stars Eddie Marsan [Sherlock Holmes, Hancock, V for Vendetta], Martin Compston [True North, Red Road] and Gemma Arterton [Prince of Persia, Clash of the Titans, Quantum of Solace]. Yes... 99.9% of the film, these are the only characters you'll see. Not only that, within that 90 minutes, there is only one particular location - the abandoned unit where Marsan and Compston keep Alice Creed [Arterton] chained on the bed. You might think that it's boring but it's actually not. The Disappearance of Alice Creed is a low cost film but oh my... it's terrific and entertaining. The twists and turns of events will surely catch you by surprise. You'll never see 'em coming!
Have I mentioned how excellent their performances are?
