Again, I blame my boyfriend for forcing me to watch another British sitcom, which this time around is called Fresh Meat, created by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, released in the UK on September 21. After watching the first episode, I got hooked, really hooked that I always look forward to the following week to catch the freshest episode. Aw!
The characters of Fresh Meat From Top to Bottom, Left to Right:
Greg McHugh as Howard - the ever-innocent geology student
Kimberley Nixon as Josie - the sweet dentistry student
Charlotte Ritchie as Oregon/Melissa - the secretly rich literature student
Zawe Ashton as Vod - the aggressive literature student
Jack Whitehall as J.P. - the rich geology student with so much self-confidence
Joe Thomas as Kingsley - the Mr. Nice guy geology/drama student

Fresh Meat is a story about the lives of six students who are attending the same University [Manchester Medlock University] and residing in a shared house. With different backgrounds, their characters collide creating chaos while strengthening their friendship without them realizing it.
I find it hard to understand why others find the show rubbish. I think it’s absolutely brilliant! Okay, the first episode might be a little bit slow but once you stick to the very end of the pilot ep’, you’ll find yourself being attached to the show. I for one have spent four years in an off-campus dormitory, which brings back memories of how, most of the times, difficult it is to survive our clash of characters and sometimes enjoy the fun days together. Ah… university years --- the best!
So, going back to Fresh Meat, this tv show is truly impressive, fantastic and great, I tell yah! You just have to give it a shot to experience fun, the Fresh Meat way.
