I had the chance to watch the first two episodes of Alcatraz with Bebe yesterday while having dinner in our humble apartment. Bebe did not tell me much about the Alcatraz tv series which stirred my curiosity all the more.
Alcatraz by the Fox Network is created by Elizabeth Sarnoff, Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt and stars Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia [Lost TV Series], Sam Neil [Jurassic Park, The Piano], Parminder Nagra [ER, Ella Enchanted] and many more! The show has its first two episodes [Pilot and Ernest Cobb] aired on 16 January 2012 and has been receiving good reviews since then. As of the present, it has already been given a dashing 7.9 star rating at IMDB.
Do I love it? Hmmm… not yet there but I do like it though. The story’s very interesting! I mean, 302 prison inmates disappear mysteriously in 1963 and start reappearing in present day hungry for revenge. The twists and turns of events will make its viewers go “Huh?”, “Aha!” and “Oh no!” for sure.
Okay… maybe it’s not as excellent as Prison Break or Oz but it’s something worth checking out. Episodes 1 and 2 are well written and I am already looking forward to watching the remaining seven episodes of season 1 --- that’s how intrigued this woman is!
Alcatraz Season 1 has a total of 9 episodes. Add it to your watchlist… you might just end up liking it, too.
