Blu-Ray: Our Five Favorite Movies of All-Time on Sale!

While Bebe’s DVD collection is massive, his Blu-ray set is so tiny that one can easily count them.  There are eleven pieces --- not yet a collection, just a small bundle of joy at the moment.  One piece is quite expensive which is why it is important to wait for the right moment - the huge SALE day!, our favorite entertainment shop online is having this great sale on a number of Blu-ray items.  Fortunately, they have five of our all-time favorite movies!  Lucky, you bet!

The Shawshank Redemption1.] The Shawshank Redemption [1994, Swedish - Nyckel till Frihet] - Out of the 250 movies on’s Top 250, The Shawshank Redemption is on the number one spot!  It stars Tim Robbins [Mystic River, Arlington Road] and Morgan Freeman [Million Dollar Baby, Invictus] who play the roles of two men in prison, Andy and Red whose lives are lit with hope, trust and friendship.  Their unforgettable journey to freedom conveys an everlasting message.  This is definitely a movie with a heart!  If you haven’t seen this yet, you’re missing something really big.

Forrest Gump

2.] Forrest Gump [1994] - I am pretty sure that you’ve already seen Forrest Gump!  I’ve watched it a lot of times and it never fails to put me to tears.  Tom Hanks’ [as Forrest Gump] acting is top notch, no doubt!  By the way, Forrest Gump is number 28 on’s Top 250 movies of all time.

The Truman Show

3.] The Truman Show  [1998] - Jim Carrey at his best!  How could one ever forget that innocent look on Truman Burbank’s [Jim Carrey] face?  A true man living in a fake world, too heartbreaking!  You bet.  The Truman Show is included in’s Top 250 movies --- it’s at number 221.  Film classes at accredited online colleges should be able to teach you more about the fake life of Truman Burbank.

The Green Mile

4.] The Green Mile [1999] - At number 71 on’s Top 250 movies of all time comes The Green Mile.  Admit it, you cry a river every time you get to watch this very captivating film.  Just like The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile is also written by the brilliant Stephen King.  No wonder why The Green Mile’s a one of a kind classic!

5.] Troy [2004] - Although not included in’s chart of Top 250 movies, Troy is in my list of all-time faves.  It might not be considered by many as an epic masterpiece but for me, Troy is something I consider as an electrifying ride that is worth every penny.  Have seen it a bunch load of times!

I am so happy to find these Blu-ray movies on sale!  Such a wonderful addition to Bebe’s Blu-ray bundle of happiness!

How about you?  Have you seen all of the movies above?  Are they included in your list of all-time favorite films?  Do you own a Blu-ray or a DVD copy of them?
